We offer an array of mental health services for individuals contemplating suicide, persons with homicidal ideations, circumstances of domestic violence, substance detox, individuals experiencing delusions, Family education and anyone in crisis.

IFS offers a complete array of mental health services for families in eastern North Carolina.
We have offices in Ahoskie, Greenville, and Elizabeth City. Our services cover all mental health issues and can include a complete psychiatric workup and counseling for a variety of complex treatment options.

Our Open-Access Clinics provide outpatient therapy services without an appointment. When you are ready to begin your treatment, you can walk into one of our three clinics in Ahoskie, Greenville, or Elizabeth City, Monday through Thursday, between 8 am and 2 pm, for comprehensive clinical assessments.

Our Mobile Crisis Team can reach any patient 24/7 in the counties of Beaufort, Bertie, Brunswick, Bladen, Camden, Carteret, Chowan, Columbus, Craven, Currituck, Dare, Edgecombe, Gates, Greene, Guilford, Halifax, Hertford, Hyde, Jones, Lenoir, Martin, Nash, New Hanover, Northampton, Onslow, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Pender, Perquimans, Pitt, Tyrrell, Warren, Washington and Wilson County regardless of insurance, Medicare or Medicaid.

Our Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BUHC) Center delivers real impact and results. We are an extension of your care network, and you can count on us for immediate access to behavioral health crisis care. When someone is in crisis, we’re here to help — no appointments, no judgment, and no barriers. Everyone is met with compassionate care the moment they arrive, helping to strengthen the safety net our community needs and depends on.

The goal of our services is to integrate the mental health provider, the patient, and the family to make informed decisions regarding care and treatment for any of the following needs:
