Crisis Continuum

We believe that expanding access to community behavioral health crisis services is essential to our region. However, in rural and underserved areas, behavioral health resources are limited or difficult to access quickly. Traditional crisis responses often rely on emergency rooms or law enforcement, which are often overwhelmed and may not have the training needed to de-escalate mental health emergencies.

Our community-based crisis services — such as our Crisis Access Line, Open Access Clinics, Mobile Crisis Teams, and Behavioral Health Urgent Care — offer a more appropriate and effective alternative to traditional responses. These services help individuals stabilize in safe, supportive environments and then connect them to ongoing treatment, which reduces the risk of hospitalization, incarceration, or homelessness.
